Meet Marcus Åvall – M&A Manager at Teqt Group

Marcus Åvall has extensive experience in corporate transactions, with a particular focus on M&A. Before joining Teqt Group, he spent more than seven years working with transactions, most recently at Grant Thornton where he primarily focused on entrepreneur-led companies.

His background has given him a strong understanding of both owner-managed businesses and the processes required to execute successful transactions.

“What attracted me to Teqt was the clear ambition to build Northern Europe’s leading roofing contractor group, combined with a decentralised model where local entrepreneurship remains at the core. The combination of entrepreneurial drive and structured M&A expertise felt like the right fit,” says Marcus about his role.

Marcus is driven by working closely with entrepreneurs and building long-term relationships. What he values most in his role is the combination of business, analysis and people – identifying strong companies, building trust and creating something greater together over time.

He sees the roofing and contracting industry as particularly interesting, not least because it consists of many strong local players. At the same time, demand remains stable, especially within renovation and service, creating strong opportunities to build a leading group through the right partnerships.

Outside of work, Marcus enjoys staying active outdoors and adapts his activities to the season – from wing foiling in the summer to skiing and Nordic ice skating in the winter. The recent skating season in Stockholm was so good that in February he was able to commute to and from the office across the ice.
