At Upsala Plåt, we build for the long term – including when it comes to leadership.

Eric Johansson is now stepping into the role of CEO, succeeding Manne Bouveng, who has led the company through an important phase of development. At the same time, Manne will continue as Deputy CEO, supporting Eric and providing continuity as the company takes its next step forward.

Manne has a long history with Upsala Plåt. In the spring of 2007, Upsala Plåt was acquired by Manne and his father, Kjell Pettersson. They were already behind Ulf Petterssons Plåtslageri AB, and through the merger, Upsala Plåtslageri became the largest sheet metal roofing contractor in Uppsala.

For Upsala Plåt and Teqt Group, a change of Managing Director is about more than appointing someone to a new position. It is about developing people over time, creating stability within the organisation and building leadership close to the business. The recruitment was conducted through an external process, where Eric proved to be the strongest candidate for the role.

Eric joined Upsala Plåt in 2012 as a sheet metal worker. Since then, he has continued to grow within the company through roles with increasing responsibility, most recently as Project Manager. Over the years, he has helped develop the business alongside his colleagues and gained a deep understanding of the company’s culture, craftsmanship and customers.

Eric is currently participating in Teqt Group’s two-year Management Training Program for current and future leaders across the group, which is another example of how we develop and promote talent from within.

With Eric and Manne working side by side, Upsala Plåt gains both stability and a clear focus on the future, with the ambition to continue developing the business with quality, craftsmanship and long-term commitment at the core.

Best of luck in your new role, Eric!
